On 26 (Sat) and 27 (Sun) October, the World Collaboration Festa 2024 was held at Oasis 21 in Nagoya. This is the largest event for the themes of international exchange, international cooperation, intercultural integration, and the SDGs in the Chubu region. This year marked its 21st anniversary. A total of 57 organizations gathered over the two days to introduce their activities.
JICE Chubu Branch Office on Saturday, 26 October exhibited the panels introducing the projects and initiatives that JICE has implemented in the Chubu region, and 9 fellows from the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Timor-Leste and Uzbekistan, who receive support from JICE under the JDS scholarship, introduced their own culture and customs to the visitors in Japanese and English respectively. The visitors were curious about the differences between Japan and the fellows’ home country and asked many questions, which deepened mutual understanding with smiles on their faces.
We hope that our exhibition provided an opportunity for many people to become interested in JICE's activities.
